Elemental sublimity and its derived profanities

 FOREWORD

THE COSMIC ELEMENTAL CONTEXT

 The element hydrogen has the simplest atoms, each with just one proton and one electron. The proton forms the nucleus, while the electron orbits around it. All other elements have neutrons as well as protons in their nucleus, such as helium, which is depicted in Figure 2.2. The positively charged protons tend to repel each other, and the neutrons help to hold the nucleus together. The number of protons is the atomic number, and the number of protons plus neutrons is the atomic mass. For hydrogen, the atomic mass is 1 because there is one proton and no neutrons. For helium, it is 4: two protons and two neutrons.

For most of the 16 lightest elements (up to oxygen) the number of neutrons is equal to the number of protons. For most of the remaining elements, there are more neutrons than protons, because extra neutrons are needed to keep the nucleus together by overcoming the mutual repulsion of the increasing numbers of protons concentrated in a very small space. For example, silicon has 14 protons and 14 neutrons. Its atomic number is 14 and its atomic mass is 28. The most common isotope of uranium has 92 protons and 146 neutrons. I'm about to suggest and assert that we operate on an asymptotic versions of (ir)rationalized beliefs that pay and follow obeisance to our own and collective presumptions. Those presumptions derive and are extrapolated from aggregate conclusions. After a while, under the influence of habits, they become 'givens' of acts of relied upon faith. That qualitative choice from the sum of quantitative repetitions don't necessarily make the relied upon act of faith as a valid presumption when the rationale had inherent corruptions. Those corruptions could be from the 'ignorance of the unknown' to the bastardization or prostitution of the known!

In either case, we exist more as those electron clouds about a nuclear core of our ultimately biased conceptions. The core is the essence. Even in the analogy of the so-called 'inert elements', the so called "content" and non-interactive-with-other-elements electrons do so in a physically inherent balance AND become incarnate with a perception of contentment with the core 'given presumptions'. Those of us who have the (conditioned) freedom for interaction do so by the serendipity and expedience of opportunities that are proximal to our comprehension of such. Even as we compound ourselves in compositions with other elements we carry the conscious/subconscious baggage of our character source. 

Yet, remember, our conception is an ersatz approximation of a nebulous sublimity. Even that sublimity can morph its own energy (e=M(neutron addition/subtraction)^2) to modify its physical and functional characteristics. Thus we exist and operate in a cloud of dynamic ambiguities, and like the electrons (or survivors floating in the ocean after a shipwreck) we have gravitated to what ever form bests suits our sustained existence.

In this netherworld of absolute indefiniteness of verity we are in a relative profanity with the supposed sublimity to which we give the presumption of our devotion, though 'we know not what we do'. In that asymptotic-to-absolute ignorance of our own carnal hubris, we cage ourselves in mobile matrices of thought cul-de-sacs. Then we have the arrogance of our egocentric hubris from our zoological meta-cages to point fingers and judge others as we would if they were some subjects in a static cage.
