    A COUNTRY SELF-ENCHANTED BY ITS OWN MYTHS AND DELUSIONS​



    Just as in 'o8/'12, the voters for Obama were self-congratulating themselves for being part of a post-racial culture, so those whose votes made Trump President in '16 want to believe they've re-established the pre-1964 ethos status quo of America, domestically and internationally.

    Both are based on hyped myths and denying delusions of their own virtuous intents about this de facto-paternalistic culture (one where the functioning of the culture follows the incidental structure of the culture), whose manifestation have consequential xenophobic (internationally), racial (domestically), and misogynist (for those women/people not cohering/adhering to paternalistic ethos) outcomes.

    As much incapable as unwilling to grasp and comprehend this state from the extensive/pervasive, cultural/social, informal/formal indoctrination they needed to reconcile culturally with themselves since after the Civil War. PTSD from the Civil War/Aboriginal Native suppression needed a narrative. That narrative was bridged by the rise of the Gilded Age Robber Barons, then the incidental turn of the century political domestic/foreign philosophies that made this country an involuntary, kicking-n-screaming grudging participants in two World Wars.

    The nation's strategic geographic location not only spared it the infrastructure ravages visited upon the countries of this nation's progenitor origins, but made it the pre-emminent benefactor for the world. That benefactor status became the social psychological redemption for the prior 80 years and providing an alternative narrative for the nature of those prior 80 years.

    Eisenhower-Kennedy-Nixon set the paradigms for the politics of Reagan-Bush-Clinton-W. Bush and the present myths and delusions of non-culpable innocence/victimhood for the present polar demographics- of both ends of the cultural spectrum.

    Much like a medically-induced coma that's used as a therapy for severe concussive injuries, this society/culture are in a state of coma-like myths/delusions, compounded by physical-financial maladies made worse by its own body politic.

    Will WE be as Dorothy or Rip Van Winkle when awakened from this coma of myths/delusions?

Just so happens that....

  Just so happens that my step-daughter's son developed his verbal abilities and speaking capabilities from online video game players  with whom he converses. Those conversations took him from being a near-mute to a nuanced speaker and articulator of his perceptions. In this way the mind does need feedback so it can discern and distinguish what it projects to the feedback it gets. The mind's logic or illogic framework is constantly doing 'if this what I know is so, then that new [possibly challenging] information means...'.
